Jane Comerford

Jane Comerford ( born January 1, 1959 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian vocal coach and lead singer of the German country band Texas Lightning.

Career

Comerford graduated from a State education in piano, violin and music theory at the Conservatory of Newcastle, which they called A.Mus.A. (Associate of Music of Australia ) graduated. In Vienna, Hamburg and Amsterdam, she also took lessons in singing and ballet and brought the Ukulelespielen at. Since 1984 she is a lecturer in Popkurs Hamburg at the University of Music and Theatre. She teaches singing, composition, lyrics, arrangement and presentation. At its Popkurs among other members of the following bands have participated: Wir sind Helden, Die Happy, Cultured Pearls, Seeed, Begleitbands Rosenstolz, Lemonbabies, Fury in the Slaughterhouse and gunslinger.

Comerford played the role of Eponine in the first German-language version of the musical Les Misérables in Vienna and was, among other things Studio singer Dieter Bohlen, Marky Mark, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Roger Whittaker, Vicky Leandros, Nino de Angelo, Kid Creole, Baccarat, Howard Carpendale, Dorco German, Al Martino, Freddy Quinn, Peter Herbolzheimer Wildhearts and James Last.

In 1998, she published with the CD Somebody Sent Me an Angel, a collection of his own songs. The album contains an interpretation of the standard My Love and I nine self-written pieces that are stylistically attributed to the folk and country area. The song I Feel heartbreak she introduced in Jürgen von der Lippe show love or money, and released it as a single. Neither single nor album could be placed in the German charts. In the television series Fame Academy, she joined in 2003 for three months on a daily basis as a singing teacher.

Since 2005, Comerford lead singer of the band Texas Lightning, which reached on 20 May 2006 at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 in Athens with the title No No Never the 14th Place. The reaching of her composed and lyrics written song # 1 on the pop charts and received German triple gold status.

From June to December 2007, she appeared as a judge and vocal coach with in the sixth season of Popstars on Stage Casting format, from which the formation Room 2012 emerged. They also supported Oscar Loya and Alex Christensen at Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow as a vocal coach.

In April 2014 she sang along with Hape Kerkeling on the CD "I let my singing do not prohibit " the song " Chanson d' amour".
