Janek Sirrs

Janek Sirrs ( born October 20, 1965) is a specialist for Visual Effects. For his work he was three times nominated visual effects for the Oscar in the category of Best, which he received in 2000 for the film matrix an Oscar.

Life

Sirrs ' first participation in a film was in 1988 with The Fruit Machine - Rendezvous with a killer for director Philip Saville. In the early 1990s he worked on a variety of films, including, for example, 1492 - Conquest of Paradise by Ridley Scott, for whom he later worked in White Squall. There followed the first Hollywood blockbusters such as in 1993, Last Action Hero, or the two films Braveheart and Waterworld from the year 1995. During the 1990 Sirrs partially worked on several films per year, where it covered a wide range of comedies and action films of the genre. 2011 Sirrs was nominated for the movie Iron Man 2 for the second time for an Oscar, but was not ultimately win this. For Marvel's The Avengers, he again won at the Academy Awards 2013 nomination for Best Visual Effects.
