Janesville is a city ( with a status of "City" ) and the administrative seat of Rock County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, Janesville had 63 575 inhabitants. Janesville is named after Henry F. Janes, the first, who provided a regular ferry service across the Rock River here.
