Janet Chvatal

Janet Marie Chvatal ( born September 26, 1964 in Florida) is an American soprano singer, writer and producer who became known in Germany in the musical Ludwig ² in particular by the role of Empress Elisabeth.

Biography

Her musical studies when she graduated with honors - summa cum laude - at Boston University before subsequently in Paris and Vienna continue opera singing, among others, Mady Mesplé studied. At 19, she played her first two musical starring roles for the Green Mountain Guild Opera Company in Vermont: Magnolia in Show Boat and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience.

After her debut with Perrin Manzer Allen in the leading role at the 25th anniversary of The Fantasticks ( the way past the longest show on Broadway ), she led her first European engagement to Vienna, where they 1990-1992 the role of Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera played.

1993 to 1998 she appeared for A.I.D.A. Events with Cirque du Soleil and Riverdance - The Show on and conductor Daniel Barenboim and Madonna in Germany. In the U.S., the theme songs for Nike and Adidas advertising and on audio recordings for Sony BMG Music Entertainment and sang.

Productions and social commitment

In 2004 she got for the premiere of the musical Ludwig ² in the Music Hall her first engagement as a production coordinator in Germany and worked as a team with Disney director and choreographer Sylvia Hase, the Irish director Conall Morrison, lighting designer Aland Henderson and co-designer of the lion King, Michael curry.

Karlheinz Böhm and his organization People for People Chvatal organized in 2006 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary, an anniversary benefit gala at the Konstantin Wecker, conductor and composer Nic Raine, Christine Kaufmann and an ensemble of over 200 artists and musicians with Children's Choir and children's ballet participated. Since 2008 she has developed for the company's suite 31 Productions with their production and stage partner Marc Gremm CD projects, concepts and own stage productions as well as outdoor concerts, charity concerts, film and musical galas.

Chvatal and Gremm beyond further engage with concerts for charitable purposes, especially for children. Musical author and copywriter

Under the name Janet Chvatal & Marc Gremm and produced a musical The Legend of ... sweet red - Flueh. The libretto, written by Chvatal according to a book by Gudrun Meisriemler, tells the story of the origin of Tyrol 5 star hotels ... sweet red - Flueh in Haldensee at Tannheim, embedded in legends around the Tannheimer valley. The musical celebrated its premiere in February 2012. In addition to Janet & Marc ( as " Renate & Bruno " ) were in the premiere cast Norbert Lamla ( "The Mountain Spirit " ) and Wolfgang Pampel to do ( " narrator " ), and an international ensemble. The music was written by composer Nic Raine, played by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The musical will be performed in the local experience Via Mala.
