Jango Edwards

Jango Edwards ( born April 15, 1950 in Detroit as Stanley Ted Edwards) is an American clown and comedian.

Life

Jango Edwards was known for his very physical and sometimes bawdy stage performances. Since the 1980s, it is through live performances, solo and with his group Friends Roadshow, an LP with mostly songs from his appearances ( Live at the Melkweg, Amsterdam, 1978) and his own TV show, which ran in some third programs, including known in Germany to a wider audience.

Jango Edwards also acted in several movies with. In the 1990s, he appeared regularly in short skits in the comedy series produced by ORF hullabaloo, which was also shown on German television. In December 2008, he made ​​an appearance at the Arosa Humour Festival.

On 23 November 2011, the Vienna City Council, Jango Edwards decided to give the Golden Medal of the City of Vienna.
