Janine Turner

Janine Turner ( born December 6, 1962 in Lincoln, Nebraska as Janine Loraine Gauntt ) is an American actress.

She had a relationship with Alec Baldwin and is the mother of a daughter.

Acting Career

At the age of 15 she left home to join the Wilhelmina agency. She is known in America especially for her role in General Hospital, in German-speaking as Mary - Margaret ' Maggie O'Connell in Northern Exposure.

After that, she had roles in several films such as Cliffhanger - Only the strong survive and Dr. T and the Women. From 2000 to 2002 she was in 50 episodes of the television series Strong Medicine to see two doctors like fire and ice, in 2005, she starred with Chuck Norris in the television movie Walker, Texas Ranger: baptism of fire.

For her role in General Hospital 1983 she was awarded a Young Artist Award. In her future career, she received three Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy.

Political commitment

Turner belonged to the Council, founded by U.S. President George W. Bush President's Council on Service and Civic Participation.

2008 Turner supported the vice presidential candidacy of Sarah Palin.

Since May 2011 Turner hosts a weekly conservative talk radio show on KLIF -AM. In 2012 she was one of the speakers at the Republican National Convention.

Turner is a founding member and Co - Chair of Constituting America organization whose stated aims education about the Constitution of the United States and in her daughter Juliette is also a member.
