Jann Sjursen

Jann Sjursen Jacob ( born October 20, 1963 in Frederiksberg ) is a Danish Christian Democrat politician. He was chairman of the Christian Democratic Party from 1990 to 2002 and is a member of the Danish Parliament since 1998. From 1993 to 1994 he was energy minister in the Cabinet of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen.

After his political career was Sjursen Secretary General of Caritas Denmark. He left the Christian Democratic Party in 2007 because of their changed stance on abortion.

He is married and has three children.
