Janne Niskala

Janne Niskala ( born September 22, 1981 in Västerås, Sweden ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since May 2013 in Atlant in the KHL Mytischtschi under contract.

Career

Janne Niskala began his career as a hockey player at youth level of Lukko Rauma, for the first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the 2000 /01 season. Here, the defenders remained point and impunity in 18 games. During the season he also played for Jää - Kotkat in the subprime Mestis as well as for the A- juniors his home club. The season he finished at Manchester Storm in the British Ice Hockey Superleague. In the summer of 2001, the links Sagittarius returned to Finland, where he spent with his former club from Rauma another four years. After he had been in the season 2005/ 06 for the EV train in the Swiss National League A on the ice, he was committed for one year from Färjestad BK in the Swedish Elitserien.

In the summer of 2008 Niskala signed as a free agent contract with the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League, however, came in the following season exclusively for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Milwaukee Admirals, are used. At the end of the season he was given first to the Philadelphia Flyers and, finally, the Tampa Bay Lightning. For the team from Florida, he granted his NHL debut and scored a goal in six games and prepared another two before, but the Finnish national team decided on a change for Frölunda HC in the Elitserien, for whom he played until 2010. In the season 2010/11 he stood at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk under contract. In May 2011, the Finn Atlant Mytischtschi was committed, for which he was active in the KHL to October 2012. Then Niskala was exchanged for Jonas Frögren from HK Dinamo Minsk as Dinamo wanted to strengthen the offensive power of the defense. After the end of the 2012/13 season he returned to Atlant.

Internationally

For Finland Niskala participated in the U20 Junior World Championship 2001, the World Championships in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and the Winter Olympics, 2010.
