Janusz Zakrzeński

Janusz Zakrzeński ( born March 8, 1936 in Przededworze; † 10 April 2010 Smolensk, Russia) was a Polish actor.

Janusz Zakrzeński visited the State Theatre School PWST in Krakow, where he graduated in 1960. He received his first theater engagement in 1960 at the Teatr Słowacki in Krakow, where he was part of the ensemble until 1967. After that he went to Warsaw, where he was part of the ensemble of the Teatr Polski 1967-1974. Then played from 1974 to 1984 at the Teatr Nowy and 1984/85 at the Teatr Narodowy. From 1985 until his death in 2010 he was a member of the ensemble of the Teatr Polski in Warsaw. His film debut was in 1958. He has since played more than 50 roles in movies and TV series. In 1965 he presented in Andrzej Wajda film Legion ( Popioły ) Napoleon Bonaparte dar. In Bohdan Porębas film of Polonia Restituta presented Józef Piłsudski first time in 1980 dar. This role took in his last years, several times in official anniversary celebrations. About Piłsudski he wrote the book Moje spot kania z Marszałkiem. The Polish TV audience he was the television series M jak known miłość.

On April 10, 2010 Zakrzeński belonged to a Polish delegation headed by President Lech Kaczyński, who was to travel on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Katyn massacre to the memorial to Russia. However, in the plane crash of the delegation near the military airfield Smolensk - North he came together with other high-ranking representatives of Poland died.

Posthumously Zakrzeński was awarded on 16 April 2010 the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta ( Krzyż Komandorski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski ).
