Japan Amateur Radio League

The Japan Amateur Radio League (Japanese日本 アマチュア 無線 連盟, Nihon Amachua Muses Renmei, in short: JARL ) is the national Amateur Radio Association of Japan.

The Japan Amateur Radio League was founded in 1926 by Japanese radio amateurs with the aim to develop wireless technology and to use as a communication medium.

The JARL says of itself that it currently has the largest number of members for radio amateurs worldwide. The JARL as a national umbrella organization is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union.
