Japan national field hockey team
The Japanese national hockey team of men represented Japan at the international level, for example in the Hockey World Cup, the Champions Trophy or the Olympic Games.
Japan took five times, at the Olympic Games (1932, 1936, 1960, 1964, 1968) and four World Championships ( 1971, 1973, 2002, 2006 ) in part. For the Champions Trophy, the national hockey team could not yet qualify. Best Merits are the silver medal at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and two bronze medals at the Asian Games in 1966 and 1970. Since 2009, the team is coached by Dutchman Siegfried Aikman.
