The Jarbek is about one kilometer long brook in the Schleswig-Holstein district of Plön. He's only outlet of the lake villages Doberman and empties into the Passader lake, whose water flows over the Hagen Au in the Baltic Sea.

Curiosities

Due to the hilly ridges, which have emerged as terminal moraines in the last ice age, the catchment area of the lake villages Doberman is very limited. So it comes thermals due north or south of the catchment area of the lake occasionally to local heavy rain events. If such an event in the area Selenter lake, Salzau or Passader lake occurs, it comes about every 2 - 3 years to an interesting phenomenon. The fact that the Passader lake is over a weir, which serves the flood protection of the residents of Hagen Au, among other things, dammed and the difference in level between Doberman villages lake and Passader lake is only a few centimeters, there is a reversal of the flow direction and the Doberman villages lake is quasi utilized in the river system Hagen Au as a flood control reservoir.
