Jardines de la Reina

Jardines de la Reina ( German "Gardens of the Queen " ) is an archipelago in the south of Cuba in the provinces of Camagüey and Ciego de Ávila. It was named by Christopher Columbus in honor of Spanish Queen Isabella the Catholic.

The archipelago is located in the Caribbean Sea at 20 ° 50 'N and 78 ° 55 ' W and is a popular destination for divers and fishermen. It includes about 660 coral islands. These include Cayo Breton, Cayo Alcatraz, Cayo Grande, Cayo Caballones and Cayo Anclitas. Large parts of the archipelago are part of the Cuban national park Parque Nacional Jardines de la Reina.
