Jardines del Hipódromo Stadium

The Estadio Jardines del Hipódromo is a stadium in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo.

It was opened on 25 August 1957. The stadium was renovated in 2000 and 2006, with the seating capacity was increased. It has a capacity of 18,000 spectators now. ( Other sources speak of a capacity of only 16,000 visitors from ) The Arena is primarily used at the time as a football stadium. The local football club Danubio FC plays its home games from here.
