Jardines del Rey

Jardines del Rey ( German "Gardens of the King" ) is called a chain of islands on the north coast of Cuba. They are located in the north of the province of Ciego de Ávila, which lies in the middle east of Cuba, Sancti Spiritus between the provinces ( west ) and Camagüey ( east ).

They were 1513/1514 named in honor of the then King of Spain Ferdinand II Of Catholic " Jardines del Rey ".

The islands of Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo are the two most touristy islands of the archipelago. In addition to the variety of birdlife (Pink Flamingos ) and the tropical forests, especially the offshore coral islands are worth seeing.
