Jared Gilman

Jared Gilman ( born December 28, 1998 New Jersey as Jared T. Raynor Gilman ) is an American actor. He is best known for his role in the film Moonrise Kingdom (2012 ).

Life and career

Jared Gilman was born the son of Leslie and Rick Gilman in December 1998 in the U.S. state of New Jersey. While he was in South Orange, New Jersey, grew up, he attended Newark Academy in Livingston. He is in the cross-country running and in fencing team at school and plays since the age of three golf. His first acting experience in plays during the Summer Academy. In February 2012 he had his Bar Mitzvah.

At the age of twelve he got his first role in Wes Anderson's film comedy Moonrise Kingdom, which opened the 65th International Film Festival of Cannes in May 2012. He plays there next to Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Kara Hayward, the lead role of Sam Shakusky, located in Suzy Bishop ( played by Hayward ) falls and blows with her into the wilderness, after which the community gets the persecution. For this role he was, among other things at the Young Artist Awards 2013 in the category Best Actor in a Feature Film, as well as for the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Youth Performance category in a Lead or Supporting Role - nominated times. At the MTV Movie Awards 2013, he got together with Hayward for their shared kiss a nomination in the Best Picture kiss.
