Jared Ross

Jared Ross ( born September 18, 1982 in Huntsville, Alabama ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga since April 2011.

Career

Jared Ross began his career as a hockey player at the University of Alabama Huntsville, for whom he played from 2001 to 2005 a total of four years in the College Hockey America. Towards the end of the season 2004/ 05 Ross scored eight points scorer, including three goals in twelve games for the Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League, where he made ​​his debut in professional hockey. Ross then moved in summer 2005 to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, the farm team of the Atlanta Thrashers. There he was able to immediately develop a starting place, never received by the Thrashers, however, a contract offer, valid for the National Hockey League. In addition, Ross played a game of season 2005/ 06 for the farm team of the Wolves, the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

In the middle of the 2006/07 season, Ross was from Chicago to the league rivals Philadelphia Phantoms, the farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers are submitted. For his good performances in the farm team Ross was rewarded in 2009 with the nomination for the AHL All-Star Classic. In this game, he was named MVP after he had set up with seven points a new record. In July 2010 he was engaged by the Atlanta Thrashers, who sent him to the Chicago Wolves in the AHL.

On April 30, 2011, Ross was taken by the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for two years under contract.
