Jarmila Nygrýnová

Jarmila Nygrýnová (married Strejčková; * February 15, 1953 in Plzeň, † 5 January 1999) was a Czech long jumper who competed for Czechoslovakia.

In 1972, she won bronze at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Grenoble and was twelfth at the Olympic Games in Munich.

In 1973 she won silver at the European Indoor Championships in Rotterdam and 1975 gold at the Universiade. Two fourth places at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in 1974 and 1975 in Katowice was followed by another silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Munich in 1976. The same year she finished sixth at the Olympic Games in Montreal.

In 1977, she won gold at the European Indoor Championships in San Sebastian and was each second in the IAAF World Cup in Dusseldorf and at the Universiade, 1978 she defended her title at the European Indoor Championships in Milan and won bronze at the European Athletics Championships in Prague.

With silver she won a medal at a major international event at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna in 1979 for the last time. In 1980, she finished sixth in the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1982 and Eleventh at the European Championships in Athens. At the World Athletics Championships 1983, she was ten and came up with the Czechoslovak team to eighth place in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

Six times she was Czechoslovak champion in the long jump (1976-1980, 1984) and even more than 100 m ( 1976). In the hall she took ten times the national title in the long jump (1971-1973, 1975-1980) and once each about 50 m (1972 ) and 60 m ( 1973).
