Jarnsaxa (also Saturn L) is one of the smaller outer moons of the planet Saturn.
Discovery
The discovery of Jarnsaxa by Scott S. Sheppard, David C. Jewitt Jan and Brian G. Marsden on Kleyna recordings on January 5, it was announced on 26 June 2006 to 29 April 2006. Jarnsaxa first received the provisional designation S/2006 S 6 was named after the moon Jarnsaxa, one of nine Ägirstöchter from Norse mythology.
Path data
Jarnsaxa orbits Saturn at a retrograde eccentric orbit in about 965 days. The orbital eccentricity is 0.216, the orbit is inclined at 163 ° to the ecliptic.
