Jaromír Kohlíček

Jaromír Kohlíček ( born February 23, 1953 in Teplice ) is a Czech politician and Member of the European Parliament.

Jaromír Kohlíček has completed the University of Chemical Technology in Prague as an engineer. He worked from 1976 to 1995 as a glass engineer, factory manager, technical director and head of commercial and technical services. From 1995 to 1998 he was director of a steel plant.

Kohlíček thing of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia and was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. He is a member of the European Left Party and thus the fraction of the United European Left in the European Parliament. He was appointed in 2004 for the first and 2009 for the second time to the European Parliament. He is a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism.

Jaromír Kohlíček is married and has four children.
