Jaroslav Bouček

Jaroslav Bouček ( born November 13, 1912 in Černošice, † October 10, 1987 in Prague ) was a Czechoslovak football player.

Club career

Bouček played in his youth for the SK Černošice. His first professional stop was Sparta Prague. In 1931, the midfielder went to France and joined Stade Rennes. After 45 games and two goals in two years, the Czech returned for season 1933/34, back to Prague. With Sparta header and the ball was strong Bouček, the work done mostly in central midfield defensive duties, in the years 1936, 1938 and 1939 each national champion. In the 1934/35 season he won the Mitropa Cup with his club.

For the season 1941/42, Bouček changed to Viktoria Plzen, rose with the team but from from the top division. Later, he was playing for his former youth club in Černošice.

National

Bouček played his first international match before the World Cup 1934 on March 25, 1934 in Paris against France, Czechoslovakia won 2-1. Although the midfielder was in the squad of the Czechoslovak Republic for the World Cup in Italy, there came a terrible used. His Mannschaftskamaraden were beaten with 1:2 after extra time only in the final hosts Italy. After the World Cup Bouček lacked only rarely in the Czechoslovak national team. On February 9, 1936, he scored in a 3-0 win against France in Paris, his only international goal. At the World Cup in 1938, when Czechoslovakia was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Brazil, Bouček came three times for use. His international career was ended by the political events that led to the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1939.
