Jaroslav Skobla

Jaroslav Skobla (* April 16, 1899 in Prague, † November 22, 1959 in Teplice is sought ) was a Czechoslovakian weightlifter and Olympic champion.

Career

Skobla began in 1921 with the weight lifting. He was a member of the police SV Prague. Already in 1923 he competed in the World Championships in Vienna, which, however, were sparse and won the title in the light heavyweight division. He was also at the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 at the start. 1925-1927 There were no international championships. He was therefore again only at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 at the start. With the Goldmedailengewinn his third Olympic participation in 1932 in Los Angeles, he managed the biggest victory of his career. Then he started nurmehr with smaller Championships.

Great joy had Jaroslav Skobla. Jiri Skobla to his son, for he was European champion in 1954 and 1956 at the Melbourne Olympics bronze medalist in the shot put
