Jarred Tinordi

Jarred Tinordi ( born February 20, 1992 Burnsville, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since 2012 when the Canadiens de Montréal in the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League. His father Mark played twelve seasons in the NHL.

Career

Jarred Tinordi was appointed at the age of 16 years into the U.S. National Team Development Program and went through there different ages of the team before he was finally added to the 2009/10 season in the Under-18 Team selection in the United States Hockey League. There he was appointed team captain and played 26 games in which he already showed his style of play as a physical defender with 68 penalty minutes. In the U18 World Cup Tinordi won the gold medal with the United States.

NHL Entry Draft 2010 Jarred Tinordi was selected by the Canadiens de Montréal in the first round at 22 position. In KHL Junior Draft 2010 is also the Russian club Metallurg Magnitogorsk HK secured his transfer rights in the Kontinental Hockey League.

For the 2010/11 season Tinordi moved to the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League. There he established himself immediately as a regular player and played in his debut season 63 games. At the same time introduced the 1.98 meter tall defender with 140 penalty minutes to all the players of his team. The following season, he was named captain of the Knights. Although he missed a total of ten games due to an injury to the eye, Tinordi recorded at the end of the season with a plus / minus score of 39 the best value in the league. His 14 assists were personal optimum. As best team in the regular season the London Knights finally also in the play- offs succeeded in winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup. However, in the Memorial Cup, the team failed to Cataractes de Shawinigan. Nevertheless, Tinordi was elected to the All-Star Team of the tournament.

Before the season 2012/13 Jarred Tinordi moved to the Hamilton Bulldogs, the farm team of the Canadiens de Montréal, in the American Hockey League. In March 2013 he was finally appointed for the first time in the NHL squad the Canadiens, where he played his first game on March 16, 2013 against the New Jersey Devils. He also scored his first point scorer as he prepared a goal by Tomas Plekanec.
