Jason Alexander

Jason Alexander ( born September 23, 1959 in Newark, New Jersey; actually Jason Scott Greenspan ) is an American actor, director and film producer.

Life and achievements

Alexander graduated in 1977 in Livingston Livingston High School. Already there he performed in amateur theater. Later he studied intermittently at Boston University.

Alexander played in the movies: The Mosquito Coast (1986), opposite Harrison Ford and River Phoenix; in Pretty Woman ( 1990) opposite Julia Roberts and Richard Gere; in the film Breakfast at her (1990 ) alongside Susan Sarandon and James Spader; in the film Coneheads (1993 ) alongside Dan Aykroyd. In the movie North (1994 ), he starred alongside Elijah Wood and Julia Louis -Dreyfus one of the main roles. In The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, he also played a starring role for which he was nominated for a Saturn Award.

Alexander was also seen in some TV series such as I / R (1984-1985), minions of hell ( Favorite Son, 1988), Seinfeld ( 1989-1998 ) and Listen Up (2004-2005). For his role in the television series Seinfeld, he was nominated several times for the price Golden Globe Award (1993-1995 and 1998) and Emmy Award ( 1992-1998).

Alexander has performed in numerous plays. He was awarded in 1989 for the lead role in the play Broadway Tony Award. In 2007 he took over the lead role of Max Bialystock in Mel Brooks ' stage musical The Producers at a theater in Los Angeles.

In the United States it is known from numerous commercials, including McDonald's and Daimler Chrysler.

In the film My partner with the hot chick (1996 ), in which he starred opposite James Woods one of the main roles, Alexander has directed. He was also active as a producer of several films and as a screenwriter.

In 1999, he starred in the Star Trek: Voyager episode The think tank the antagonist Kurros. Another guest appearance was Alexander in 2005 in the series Monk as a private detective Marty Eels in the episode Mr. Monk gets competition.

End of May 2012 Alexander came into criticism when he called in a U.S. talk show cricket as a "gay sport." A little later he apologized for that statement.

Alexander is married to actress Daena E. Title since 1981 and has two sons.
