Jason Allison

Jason Paul Allison (* May 29, 1975 in North York, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1993 to 2006 for the Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

Career

As a junior he played with the London Knights in the OHL. The Washington Capitals selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 in the first round as the 17th. After he had finished the following season in London, he was taken for another two games to the Capitals. Then he played the AHL playoffs for the farm team of the caps, the Portland Pirates. In 1994 and 1995 he played for Canada at the Junior World Championships and won both times gold for his country.

Until the 1996/97 season joined the talented hopefuls between Washington and Portland, but did not manage to break into the NHL. Together with the talents Anson Carter and Jim Carey as well as a draft law, he moved to the Boston Bruins. In return, the experienced Adam Oates, Bill Ranford and Rick Tocchet came to Washington.
