Jason Demers

Jason Demers ( born June 9, 1988 in Dorval, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He currently plays for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and their farm team, the Worcester Sharks in the American Hockey League on the position of the defender.

Career

Demers began his hockey career in the summer of 2004, when he was taken from the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League contract. During the 2004/05 season the 16 -year-old rookie completed 25 games for the Wildcats, where he only managed one assist. In the following season Demers was also first in Moncton's squad, but was released after 21 appearances in the Premier League rivals Victoriaville Tigres.
