Jason Grimes

Jason Grimes ( born September 10, 1959) is a former American long jumper.

The greatest success of the graduates of the University of Tennessee is winning the silver medal at the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki. The following year he was ousted in the U.S. elimination fights for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the last round by Mike McRae to fourth place and was therefore only substitute for the U.S. team.

After his athletic career, he worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other law enforcement agencies. Since 2004, he has athletics coach at the University of Maryland.
