Jason Hoffman

Jason Hoffman ( born January 28, 1989 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian football player.

Career

Hoffman played in the 2006/07 season for Hamilton Olympic in the Northern New South Wales State Football League, a regional division of the State of New South Wales. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to the A- League club Newcastle United Jets and came mainly in his first season as a substitute to a total of 15 appearances, including a 1-0 victory in the championship final against the Central Coast Mariners. He spent the summer break at the Australian Institute of Sport.

On September 27, 2008 against Adelaide United, the sixth round of the 2008/09 season, Hoffman suffered a torn ACL in his right knee and fell for the rest of the season out. His comeback he gave in April 2009 in the AFC Champions League. A month later, he scored in the away match against Korean club Ulsan Hyundai Horang -i 1-0 winning goal and caused quite the collection of Newcastle in the Champions League first knockout round.
