Jason Marshall (ice hockey)

Jason Marshall ( born February 22, 1971 in Cranbrook, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player (defender), who was active during his active career, among other things for the Kölner Haie and Frankfurt Lions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. At the end of the 2007/08 season he finished his hockey career.

Career

After he had played in his youth for the Vernon Lakers in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League, the Team Canada as well as the Tri -City Americans of one year in the Western Hockey League, he moved in 1991 to the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League. From the blues he had been selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 to ninth place overall. However, he played between 1991 and 1994 almost exclusively on their IHL farm team in Peoria.

After his subsequent move to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, he established himself in the team and denied by the 2000 /01 the majority of his 569 NHL games. After a short stint with the Washington Capitals, he went three more years in the best league in the world for the Minnesota Wild on the ice. The end of the 2003/04 season he completed for the San Jose Sharks.

For the 2005/06 season he returned to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, in the course of the season but was sent to the farm team for the Portland Pirates. During the lockout, he worked for the Czech extra league team HC Plzeň. In the 2006/07 season he played with the Cologne Sharks, where he in the penalty time statistics led the league. The season 2007/ 08 he spent at the Frankfurt Lions, before 2008, his active career ended.
