Jatznick
Jatznick is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office of Uecker- Randow Valley with offices in the city Pasewalk.

Geography
With nearly 2000 inhabitants Jatznick is the largest municipality in the Uecker -Randow - Tal. It is located on the northeast edge of the Northern ridge, an end moraine, which is about 25 km to the west stretches ( highest elevation in the Brohm mountains 153 meters above sea level. NN ). North and east of Jatznick the landscape is very flat ( Ueckermünder Heide to the Szczecin Lagoon and lowland area of Friedlander Great Meadow ). In Waldeshöhe is the Aalsee, an approximately 0.8 -acre body of water.

History
1354 the place Jatznick is first mentioned in a document. The site was originally inhabited by Slavs, who gave the place its present name.
On 1 January 2012, the formerly independent villages Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow were incorporated to Jatznick.

Economy and infrastructure
In Jatznick is a total of eight Forstsamendarren that Forstsamendarre Jatznick. It includes a production building, a Schaumanufaktur and a dendrologic garden. The building from 1923 and is registered as a technical monument. There are also some agricultural and craft shops.
Jatznick is located on the main road 109 Pasewalk to Anklam and has a railway station on the railway line Berlin- Stralsund. Since 1884 also performs a branch line to Ueckermuende. Twelve kilometers south there are connections to the Baltic Sea motorway A 20
Jatznick today school site ( elementary school ) and has a complete medical and dental care. In addition to a swimming lake with good water quality, the municipality has restaurants and hotel rooms to have shopping facilities including the hardware store.
