Jausa is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Emmaste ( Emmaste vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

The village is located on the Baltic Sea beach. In the little book of Jausa ( Jausa Laht ) open the streams Luguse Jõgi and Jausa oja. The latter is known for its crayfish.

Jausa was first mentioned in the second half of the 16th century. Previously, the port for the export of potatoes and wood was used.

The most famous son of the town is the Estonian writer Herman Sergo (1911-1989). He was born in Jausa, where he attended elementary school. Sergo has numerous substances of Hiiumaa processed literary in his literary work.
