Java Business Integration

Java Business Integration (JBI ) is a specification for implementing a service-oriented architecture which has been developed under the Java Community Process (JCP ). JBI 1.0 is defined by JCP 208, JBI 2.0 by JCP 312

JBI is based on the Web Services model and provides an extensible architecture for a container, which provides components for providing and processing of services.

Services can contact the container by means of Binding Components (BC ) or can be used as part of the service Enginge (SE ) are provided within the container. The service model is based on the Web Services Description Language 2.0.

Some enterprise service bus implementations, such as Open ESB and Apache ServiceMix, based on JBI.
