Java-Pony

The Java pony is derived from the Mongolian wild horse pony breed that is native to the island of Java.

Exterior

The exterior of the Java pony is determined by its petite body. The average shoulder height is about 1, 20 m. In contrast to the weak muscled body, the Java Pony has a short neck and a blunt head. The grade back ends in the often weak croup. Often the limbs of the horse of position errors are concerned.

Interior

The Java pony is used in its home mainly in agriculture and for the transport of passengers and goods in the cities and has perfectly adapted to the tropical climate of Indonesia. Despite its small size and light body structure, the Java pony is a robust and perennial workhorse.

Breeding history

The horses are privately bred all over the island. Therefore have already pronounced on the various islands of Indonesia significant racial differences. This pony breed is subsidized in many cases by the state.
