Javier Aquino

Javier Aquino ( born February 11, 1990 in Oaxaca, Oaxaca ) is a Mexican footballer who acts in midfield.

Life

Association

Aquino went through various areas and junior farm team of the CD Cruz Azul, where he also received his first professional contract and played between 2008 and 2010 for its second division team Cruz Azul Hidalgo.

His debut for the Mexican Primera División playing first team he played 23 July 2010 in a 3-0 away win against CD Estudiantes Tecos. It was the first match of the Apertura 2010 and in the same season and his first goal in the highest Mexican League, he managed the game in Morelia (1:1) on October 24, 2010.

His last assignment for Cruz Azul, he completed on 26 January 2013 point game against Puebla FC and he left the home stadium with the goal to make it 4-0 final score in the 61st minute. He then moved to Villarreal in the Spanish league.

National

With the Mexican U-23 selection Aquino won the 2011 football tournament of the Pan American Games and the following year the Olympic football tournament as well as the prestigious Tournament of Toulon.

He has also been since 2011 on several occasions for the senior team in action and is part of the Mexican squad at the Confederations Cup in 2013, where he was in the first group match against Italy (1:2) in the starting lineup and in the final group game against Japan (2: 1) was substituted in the 90th minute.
