Javier Cárdenas

Javier Cardenas Flores ( born November 23, 1956) is a former Mexican football player whose root position was in the midfield.

Life

Javier Cárdenas was awarded his first professional contract in 1973/74 season at Toluca FC, ​​with whom he won the championship in season 1974/75.

Just a few months later, he debuted on August 3, 1975 in ranks of the Mexican national team, than that of the GDR selection with 0:1 defeated.

His two international goals in the Cárdenas get discharged in October 1977 World Cup qualifiers against El Salvador ( 3-1 ) and Guatemala ( 2-1 ).

In the subsequent 1978 World Cup, he played the first half in the last group match of the Mexicans against Poland (1:3), which had to travel home after the game.

Cárdenas, who played his last international match against the Soviet Union ( 0-1) on 31 January 1979 moved to the 1978 World Cup to Chivas Guadalajara, where he was the next seven years under contract and a total of 215 league games completed.
