Javier Martina
Javier Sylvester Martina (born 1 February 1987 in Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles) is a Dutch football player.
Career
Clubs
After youth stations at SV Bijlmer, Amstelveen Heemraad and FC Omniworld born on Curaçao striker came in 2005 to Ajax Amsterdam. Although he had been there then mainly used in the reserve team, he extended his contract in April 2007 at the club. For the season 2008/ 09 he then took coach Marco van Basten in the professional squad of the club for which he (9th Round ) debuted in a 2-0 win in the away match against FC Twente in the Eredivisie on 1 November 2008. Ultimately, however, he could not prevail at the club and wanted to leave the club in the summer of 2009, but took until the end of the summer transfer period no new employer.
On 15 January 2010 Martina left on loan Ajax and joined the stuck in financial difficulties second division club HFC Haarlem. However, ten days later, the club was insolvent and he returned - after a game application for the new club - among other Leihspielern to Ajax back, then the new clubs was looking for. As a result, he played for the reserve team Jong Ajax. In February 2011, Martina followed a call by coach Aron Winter at its Toronto FC, where he first completed some preparation games without a contract.
On March 9, Martina moved officially to the Canadian first division, for which he 19 March 2011 (1st Round ), in the 2:4 defeat in the away match against the " Whitecaps " debuted from Vancouver. On 26 March 2011 ( 2nd Round ), he scored in a 2-0 win at home against the Portland Timbers his first two goals (14th, 70th minute) in the MLS. At the end of the season Martina was released.
National
Martina was each player of the Dutch U- 19 and U -20 team for two years; with the latter he took, among others, in the tournament of Toulon in 2007.
After Martina was appointed in August 2011 for the two qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil against Antigua and Barbuda on 2 and against Haiti on 6 September 2011, he made his debut on September 6 in Willemstad at the 2:4 defeat the choice of Haiti. Also in the second leg of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, on October 11, 2011 in Port-au -Prince, in a 2-2 draw it was used.

- Martina has two younger brothers who are also active in footballing terms. Cuco Martina (* 1989) plays for RKC Waalwijk and for the national team of Curaçao and Derwin Martina (* 1994) plays in the youth of Ajax Amsterdam.
