Javier Moracho

Javier Torrente Moracho ( born August 18, 1957 in Monzón ) is a former Spanish hurdler who specializes route was the 110-meter distance.

In the Indoor Athletics European Championships in Vienna in 1979, he was sixth on the 60m hurdles. The following year he won at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen Bronze 60 meters and finished seventh at the Olympic Games in Moscow.

In 1981 he gained a bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble on 50 m hurdles, and at the European Athletics Championships 1982 in Athens, he reached the semifinals. In 1983, he retired at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in the semifinals and won gold at the Mediterranean Games. In 1984 he was at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg fourth over 60 m and arrived at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles semi-finals. A silver medal at the IAAF World Indoor Games in Paris in 1985 over 60m hurdles followed in the same discipline gold at the European Indoor Championships in 1986 in Madrid and in each case a sixth place finish at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1987 in Indianapolis and at the European Indoor Championships in 1988 in Budapest. In 1988, he won bronze at the Ibero-American Championships and retired at the Olympic Games in Seoul in the quarter- finals.

The eight times he was Spanish champion in the 110m hurdles outdoors (1978, 1980-1985, 1987) and about 50 or 60 meters hurdles in the Hall ( 1977-1981, 1984-1987).
