Javier Suárez (economist)

Javier Suárez Bernaldo de Quirós (born 1966 in Madrid ) is a Spanish economist.

He studied economics at the Complutense University and the University Carlos III in Madrid and earned his PhD there in 1994. After that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University (1994) and at the London School of Economics ( 1994-1996). He is on the staff of the Centre for Economic Policy Research ( CEPR ), the European Corporate Governance Institute ( ECGI ) and the Assembly of Review of Finance. He is professor of economics at CEMFI (Centro de Estudios y Monetarios Financieros, Centre for Monetary and Financial Studies )
