Jawaharlal Nehru Port

The Nhava Sheva Port ( officially Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal ) is a seaport near Mumbai in western India on the coast of the Arabian Sea.

It is the largest port in India and the first private container terminal in the country. It is operated by DP World.

The port has a quay length of 600 meters and a building area of ​​30 acres for storage of containers. The total capacity of 1.1 million TEUs ( 20 -foot containers ), with an average of approximately 100,000 TEUs processed per month and income from customs duties amounting to 2 billion Indian rupees can be achieved. Construction of the plant cost 250 million U.S. dollars.
