Jay Conrad Levinson

Jay Conrad Levinson ( born 1933 in Detroit, † October 10, 2013 ) was an American business consultant and " spiritual father " of guerrilla marketing.

He was the founder of the International Guerrilla Marketing Association, coach and author of many books on guerrilla marketing, which are published in many languages. His first book was published in 1984 entitled Guerilla Marketing Handbook, has been translated into 37 languages. In addition to his books, he worked as a management consultant. Prior to founding his own company, he was vice president at J. Walter Thompson and creative director at several advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett Advertising.

In America, especially smaller companies, they were during the 1980s in a corporate crisis. Jay Conrad Levinson raised to combat this crisis, the basic idea of guerrilla marketing back from baptism. Thanks to him that the guerrilla marketing strategy came back to greater popularity.
