Jay Feaster

Jay Feaster ( born July 30, 1962 in Williamstown, Pennsylvania) is an American professional ice hockey official.

Career

Feaster was a graduate of Susquehanna University and Georgetown Law Center in Washington, DC, before he worked as a lawyer in Harrisburg in Pennsylvania. Following the Americans operated first at Hershey Entertainment and was appointed in 1990 as General Manager of the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League and Hersheypark Arena. During his time in Hershey the Calder Cup the team won the 1997 championship in the AHL. On February 10, 2002 he dedicated the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League as general manager after he had previously been working as an assistant for three years. In this role, Feaster was responsible for contractual, collective bargaining, legal issues and the organization of the scouting department and the farm team. The position of General Manager in Florida has held Feaster to 2008. During this time was achieved in the 2003/04 season the Stanley Cup.

Feaster was appointed in July 2010 as Assistant General Manager of the Calgary Flames. After his boss, Darryl Sutter, who resigned from the office of General Manager, followed in May 2011 was promoted to general manager of the Calgary Flames. In December 2013 he was removed together with his assistant John Weisbrod of the Office.
