Jay Kay
Jason " Jay Kay " Cheetham ( born December 30, 1969 in Stretford, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom ) is a British musician. He became known as a singer of the acid jazz band Jamiroquai who have been able to sell more than 27 million albums.
Life
Kay's youth was determined by the tour life of his mother Karen Kay, who worked as a cabaret singer. His twin brother died six weeks after birth. As a teenager he was after disputes with his mother temporarily homeless and committed minor offenses in West London. Only in the year 2003, he met his biological father, who is of Portuguese origin.
After an unsuccessful bid as a singer with the band The Brand New Heavies, he founded in the late 1980s, the band Jamiroquai.
Kay lives on a large estate in Horsenden Manor, on which his management is found and has, among other things, a small pub.
