Jaya the Cat

Jaya The Cat is a reggae / ska and punk rock band in Boston, Massachusetts (United States) was founded and now lives in Amsterdam.

Biography

Jaya The Cat was founded by Geoff Lagadec, Dave Smith and Ben Murphy. Their first album Basement style has been added to Boston. It received favorable reviews, but found hardly any attention outside the Boston area. After 2001 David 'The Germ " Germain was come as a drummer who had previously played with Shadows Fall, the band in the United States and Europe began to tour. 2003, the live album Ernesto 's Burning was recorded. After the release of their second album First Beer of a New Day, the two founding members Dave Smith and Ben Murphy left the band. The two remaining members then moved to Amsterdam. The band was expanded in the following, a number of Dutch musicians. Soon Jan Jaap " Jay" Onverwagt, Jeroen Kok were (now replaced by Johan van 't Zand ) and Jordi Newcastle permanent members of Jaya the Cat. 2007 the third album of the band, More Late Night Transmissions With .... 2012 was followed by the fourth album The New International Sound of hedonism.
