Jaywick is a village near Clacton -on-Sea in Essex. The village is situated on the North Sea coast. The site was originally intended as a seaside resort.

History

1730 the city was completely inundated by a storm surge. In 1928, Jaywick was connected to the British power grid. The St. Christopher's Church was opened in 1933. 1934, the Morocco Club was built. In the 1940s, a family club was taken from the dance hall. Due to the flood of 1953, the site was again flooded. Here, 35 people died. The Morocco Club served after this disaster as accommodation for people whose residence was destroyed. 1981 the village had 3423 inhabitants

One of the landmarks of Jaywick is the mini - Railway ( German: Miniature Railway ). It was opened on 31 July 1936. The track was over 1 mile long.
