Jazeman Jaafar

Jazeman Firhan Jaafar ( born November 13, 1992 Kuala Lumpur ) is a Malaysian race car driver. He started from 2010 to 2012 in the British Formula 3, where he was runner-up in 2012. Since 2013 he appears in the Formula Renault 3.5.

Career

Jaafar began his motorsport career in 1999 at the age of six years in karting, where he was active until 2005. In 2006 he was in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge his debut in Formula racing and became an instant third party. In 2007 he competed in the Asian Formula BMW. Since he was only 14 years old, he needed a special permit for his participation. Jaafar won 10 of 22 races and decided the championship. 2008 Jaafar moved to Europe and competed in the European Formula BMW. After he had occupied the 14th place overall in his first season, he stayed in 2009 in this series and was with two third places ninth in the overall standings.

2010 Jaafar was committed by Carlin for the British Formula 3 Championship. With a second place as best result he finished in twelfth place overall. 2011 remained Jaafar Carlin and denied his second season in the British Formula 3 Championship. With four podium finishes, he improved to sixth place in the championship. In addition, Jaafar was entitled points in the FIA ​​Formula 3 Trophy 2011. With a third place he was seventh. 2012 kept his Jaafar Carlin cockpit and re-entered in the British Formula 3. He won three races and was in the meantime on the first place in the championship. At the end of the season he lost to his teammate Jack Harvey with 306 to 319 points and was runner-up. 2013 moved Jaafar in the Formula Renault 3.5, where he again went to the start for Carlin. With a third place in Monte Carlo as the best result, he finished the season in 17th place overall.
