Jazz Journalists Association

The Jazz Journalists Association ( JJA ) is an international association of journalists, writers and other media representatives on the subject of jazz, with the focus on the USA and Canada. The JJA was founded in 1986 in Chicago, the site of their annual first meeting. 2011, it had about 500 members. It publishes a quarterly journal Jazz Notes.

The JJA awards since 1997 in the two main categories of Jazz Musicians and Jazz Journalism annual Jazz prices ( JJA Awards), which will be awarded in June in New York City.
