Jazzmeile

The Jazzmeile Thuringia is an annually from early October to late November that takes place in Thuringia nationwide Jazz Festival with up to 22,000 spectators.

History

The Jazzmeile Thuringia is since 1992 by the " AG Jazzmeile Thuringia ", an inter-municipal working group on the Thuringian 18 municipalities are involved, organized. In 1994, the first joint festival of the cities of Weimar and Jena was carried out under this title, which together led the Jazz Fest Jena and the International Jazz Workshop in Weimar.
