Jazz Times is an American jazz magazine that is published in 10 issues.

The magazine was founded in 1970 as " Radio Free Jazz" by Ira Sabin, the owner of a record store in Washington, DC (as well as a jazz drummer ), as a sort of newsletter for customers. In 1980, the magazine was renamed in Jazz Times. In 1990, a further incision with the appearance under a professional put up magazine layout. In the magazine, write jazz critic Nat Hentoff as ( with a column "Final Chorus " ), Gary Giddins and Stuart Nicholson. Among the regular columns include a Blindfold Test "Before and After". The magazine created listener and critic polls annually. The magazine is also published annually the Jazz Education Guide.

Office of the newspaper is Silver Spring in Maryland, where she is a jazz festival (which since 2003 takes place in September ) also sponsors an annual basis.
