JBuilder

JBuilder is a Java development environment of the company CodeGear (formerly belonging to Borland, since 2008 Embarcadero Technologies ), which was written entirely in Java. There is a free version ( Foundation) for download, which may also be used for commercial purposes and already graphical GUI allows creation, but to the extent inferior to the paid Developer and Enterprise editions.

Furthermore, the new Borland C BuilderX based (not to be confused with C Builder ) on the Code of JBuilder, the achieved degree of platform independence.

With the introduction of version JBuilder 2007, the product has changed dramatically. There now is no longer a stand-alone IDE, but simply a plugin for the Eclipse framework. During the current product to new customers who have worked with Eclipse, is a feature enhancement to the existing users must get used heavily and partially renounce cherished basic features of the editor. Furthermore, existing GUI classes that were created in Borland " UI designer ", some no longer in the " Visual Editor" of the new version editable.

Meanwhile, the JBuilder has been published in 2008. This is offered in two paid versions, Professional, and Enterprise Edition. A limited in functionality version under the name of JBuilder 2008 Turbo available.

JBuilder 2008 is also based on the Eclipse framework and brings a lot of new functions:
