Jean Alaux

Jean Alaux ( born January 15, 1786 in Bordeaux, † March 2, 1864 in Paris) was a French painter. His longtime residence in Rome earned him the nickname of le Romain ( " Roman ").

Alaux was the son of a painter who also trained him; two of his brothers worked as a painter.
